Good Fighting, Good Loot in Gnome Mountain

Been spending Weekends with VMalice and gang in Gnome Mountain.  Been having a blast with the quest-line until the second heroic adventure. When entering the south side of the museum we are swamped with at least six to seven MoB’s instantly.  There is not enough DPS in the world to control that many.  Anyone have any thoughts on how to get by them?  I know its doable but can’t figure it out.

Mentoring a New Toon

Qindaar and Derevaun have been running around EQ a lot lately.  Qindaar a level 110 High Elf Wizard has been mentoring Derevaun a Dark Elf Cleric.  They have successfully leveled Derevaun from a level 85 to a 94 in the past month or so and currently working to achieve 110.

Qindaar has also been hanging with VMalice and gang in Gnome Mountain as of late, doing quests and getting good upgrades.  It is great to be in a zone that is playable and not so hard core as Burning Lands.  We hope to get there soon though.

Gnome Mountain and a New Belt for Qindaar

+

Awesome Saturday night!  Vmalice, Qindaar and gang decided to venture into Gnome Mountain.  We took our time on the first quest “The Darkness Howls” and successfully completed it.  Qindaar got himself a new belt out of the deal and that always makes him happy.  Overall the excitement of a new zone that we were capable of completing a task in with just the six of us is always a welcome.  Burning Lands is still too far out of our reach, but we will continue to try.

New Creation a Cleric

Been a busy few weeks, I decided to try my hand at two boxing and created a level 85 heroic Cleric.  Since creating the toon I have been power leveling him with Qindaar and have him up to level 93.  It has actually been fun and exciting to travel back to older zones as a 110 and explore places that I never dared enter as a level 90.  So it was like an all new experience and a plus was being able to take down named MoB’s solo.

I will post a pic next time around of Derevaun.

Still Trying to Get All Our Tier ll Armor

While Vmalice and I have found it very difficult to get into Burning Lands and successfully complete a quest, we have been biding our time in the OverThere acquiring our tier ll armor and taking down all the bosses.

It is quite amazing that a group of six level 110 peeps still manage to wipe out even in this zone, but we continually come back for more.  We also find SkyFire to be difficult as well as the drakes manage to see through our invisibility and since they attack from above, they can be quite surprising.

Getting ready for the release of the 20th anniversary quests and the fun quests that go along with that.

EverQuest 20th: Gnome Memorial Mountain

There was a time, long ago, when the Combine Empire dominated Norrath. At the peak of their rule, those in power became concerned that they were losing important cultures and societies as they swept over the lands. To ease their conscience, the Combine decided to preserve some of the species that they deemed to be interesting or important. The Combine created domes with environments suited to these creatures and, with or without their permission, a breeding population was placed inside each habitat. These domes were anchored to the bottom of the deep oceans of Norrath.

Eventually, Norrathians discovered several of these domes with living Shissar and Kedge, both thought long gone from the world. But that discovery was years ago, and it turns out there was at least one more secret preserve. This one seems to be the most unusual of all – dedicated to the preservation of gnomes.

Gnome Memorial Mountain was intended to be the home of a healthy population of gnomes. However, the Combine failed to notice that when they trapped the gnomes, a small group of bloodmoon orcs were also caught in the dome. While the Combine fell from power and the undersea domes were forgotten, the orcs and the gnomes fought a battle over resources that lasted generations. Eventually, the orcs won… and all the gnomes perished.

Even as the gnomes fought for survival, they always worked to perfect their clockworks. Unaware of what the world outside of their habitat was like, the very last of the gnomes ordered their clockwork assistants to keep the memory of their people alive. The clockworks built a museum to their makers, and although they have done their best to honor the gnomes that created them, they do not remember their instructions perfectly. Now, decades later, some clockworks remain dedicated to keeping their museum ready for visitors, while others have evolved their purposes to something that their creators might not appreciate.

Just recently, Gnome Memorial Mountain was unmoored from the sea and has bobbed up to the surface, its protective dome gone. The gnomes in Norrath have been working diligently to create transport so that adventurers will be able to visit this historical wonder of magic and innovation.

It is certain that the gnome-like clockworks will be waiting to greet any new visitors after so many years… but then again, so will a starving bloodmoon orc tribe
